Vision

Let’s make repair the norm again! - In a world full of electronic devices that often end up thrown away after a short time, we are setting an example with our innovative approach: Our answer to the growing challenge of e-waste prevention is a clever chatbot that guides users through the repair process of technical household appliances and empowers them to lend a hand themselves. Whether it's diagnosing problems independently or finding the right spare parts and services - our tool makes it simple and accessible.

Our Solution

We’re building a platform. At the core is a repair chatbot using existing large language models and feeding them with repair knowledge from independent repair companies. But the actual value lies in the connection to repair services and spare-parst retailers, so that our tool guides you through the whole journey of repair:

1. fault diagnosis: recognising the problem through smart questions.
2. decision making: Providing information, including CO2 emissions and prices for different options.
3. support for self-repair vs. profesional repair: access to spare parts or the option of forwarding the issue to independent repair companies.

We earn money through selling spare-parts and tools and taking comissions for repair orders. Therefore, the end-user does not have to pay for the information and guidance itself.

When our first prototype is built based on text, we plan to integrate voice control to allow a “live” conversation. Later we will then also integrate visuals through 3D-Models of the devices.

We just got our preliminary approval for the EXIST scholarship, which funds 3 persons with 2,500€ per month for a year and grants additionally 35,000€ for equipment and third-party services. This will start in March, but we would like to start wrking together as soon as possible to get to know each other.

Job description

• lead responsible to plan, manage and execute Marketing and Sales tasks - from letting people know we exist, sparking their interest to getting contracts signed and make want more ;-)
• responsibility for building an active repair community through social media
• full-time job with EXIST (you can work max 5h/week as freelancer for something else)
• Salary of 2500€/M before tax, fix for the first year. If you are studying, it is only 1000€ (sorry, not our rule…). Option to fully commit as a Co-Founder and get shares of the GmbH we plan to found around April next year. The amount of shares will be negotiated before you start. (We will set up a scheme with cliff and vesting, more about that when we talk…)
• starting in February, but we’ll need to get to know you before, so be prepared for some work sessions before
• working mode is hybrid, if possible in BW to meet up from time to time (Stuttgart/Karlsruhe/Freiburg)
• flexible timing (but honestly - rather more work than less
• supervising and coordinating student worker (from Feb/March)

Qualifications

• Regularily adapting new habits in favor of a sustainable future - you don’t just talk about it, you act accordingly
• German & English both on a professional level (we communicate in English in our team, but customers expect German)
• Proven independent and structured way of working
• Studies or at least 2 years of experience Marketing and Sales or related (more than half of the credits)
• You know what a CRM is and have been mainaining a customer base with it
• ready to take responsibility for the visibility and traction of our tool
• interest in the repair process

Bonus Points

• Experience with AI tools or chatGPT or similar
• UX/UI design, experience with user journeys
