Vision

Let’s make repair accessible to all! - In a world full of electronic devices that often end up thrown away after a short time, we are setting an example with our innovative approach: Our answer to the growing challenge of e-waste prevention is a clever chatbot that guides users through the repair process of technical household appliances and empowers them to lend a hand themselves. Whether it's diagnosing problems independently or finding the right spare parts and services - our tool makes it simple and accessible.

Our Solution

We’re building a platform. At the core is a repair chatbot using existing large language models and feeding them with repair knowledge from independent repair companies. But the actual value lies in the connection to repair services and spare-parst retailers, so that our tool guides you through the whole journey of repair:

1. fault diagnosis: recognising the problem through smart questions.
2. decision making: Providing information, including CO2 emissions and prices for different options.
3. support for self-repair vs. profesional repair: access to spare parts or the option of forwarding the issue to independent repair companies.

We earn money through selling spare-parts and tools and taking comissions for repair orders. Therefore, the end-user does not have to pay for the information and guidance itself.

When our first prototype is built based on text, we plan to integrate voice control to allow a “live” conversation with our chatbot. Later we will then also integrate visuals through 3D-Models of the devices.

We just got our approval for the EXIST scholarship, so we are ready to take off and change the repair industry!

We are working fully remote, but try to meet up in person once a month and occanionally do some online event like an Escape game.

Job description

• you’ll be responsible to plan, manage and execute our content across our website and social media channels - be creative and show people how simple and fun repair could be
• responsibility for building an engaged repair community
• option to stay with us as a student worker
• starting in April, 15-40h per week, up to 3 Months
• working mode is remote (We are spread between Freiburg, Koblenz and Berlin)

Qualifications

• Studies in a related field (Masters level or Bachelor with more than half of the credits)
• German & English both on a professional level (we communicate in English in our team, but customers expect German)
• Proven independent, accountable and structured way of working
• Interest in the repair process or is willing to learn

Bonus Points

• Native Social Media user (Insta, LinkedIn, FB, X)
• Experience with AI tools or chatGPT or similar
• You love filming and creating your own content
• UX/UI design, experience with user journeys
